The v.1.3.0 version update for the Atmosphere IoT Platform is here! We’ve added some great development kit support within Atmosphere Studio for this release, this time with the Microchip PIC-IoT and the STMicroelectronics NUCLEO-L476RG.
The PIC-IoT is similar to another Microchip board we support – the AVR-IoT – and it operates identically on Atmosphere, so those familiar with working with the AVR-IoT will be able to get started with ease. The PIC-IoT offers a bit more onboard memory, so if you’re interested in developing with more advanced and complex projects it’s a great board to work with.
Like the PIC-IoT, the NUCLEO-L476RG also operates similarly to another existing board we support – the SensorTile – so there’s familiarity for Atmosphere users as well. With this addition we’ve also included support for more ST hardware to beef up the Nucleo package, adding in elements for the X-NUCLEO-IDB05A1 BLE shield and the X-NUCLEO-IKS01A3 MEMS sensor shield to bring out the full capability of the board.
If you’re interested in seeing everything included in this release, head over to our Developer Hub to see the complete release notes of v.1.3.0. And as always, be sure to update your Atmosphere mobile app and Atmosphere IoT Agent to the latest versions to take advantage of all the platform’s newest additions and improvements.
